Perfect Storm

September 2023 - April 2024

Perfect Storm is a story about the complexities of true friendship, and the ways it can support us to navigate our inner critic.

Max and Kelsey have been best friends since forever. Max, a perfectionist, is known at Tiddly Wink Elementary and Junior High School as “Perfect Girl”, and Kelsey, a bit of a wallflower, is known as “Perfect Girl’s best friend”. Their friendship is challenged in drama class, where their roles are reversed. Kelsey seems to be a budding star, whereas Max can’t even play a basic improv game. It is here that both girls start to recognize their inner competitive voices that can never be satisfied…

Current Season

Instant

September 2023 - April 2024

Meredith wants to be a pop star. Jay wants to be a hockey star. Rosie just wants to help her father. Searching for fame in a world of instant communication drives all of them to make split-second choices that have lasting ramifications.

Written by Governor-General Award winner Erin Shields, Instant is a lightening-speed, multinarrative story about three teenagers who are trying to be heard in a world where it’s harder to reach the top if you don’t recognize who you really are.

Other Worlds

September 29 - October 7, 2023

On a small island overrun by land developers, two radically different strangers’ lives collide after an unexpected ecological disaster. Seeking safety in a bunker, they clash and connect over their shared dislike of the developers, and their conflicting dreams of a utopia where they can do more than just survive. Other Worlds celebrates their unique journeys to claim and strengthen their own self-identity, while working to make deeper connections with the outside world. A play about well-being, friendship and belonging, and the importance of community.
