With your generous contribution, you are not only supporting one of Canada’s leading companies creating Theatre for Young Audiences, you show your commitment to the arts and foster young voices from diverse communities, histories, and perspectives.
We are one of Canada’s leading English-language companies presenting Theatre for Young Audiences for nearly 40 years.
We entertain, enchant and inspire audiences of all ages by presenting theatre through the perspective of the young mind who may become our leaders of tomorrow.
We are an award-winning and critically acclaimed company whose reputation for producing impactful theatre has put us on the national platform.
We are dedicated to ensuring strong relationships with both our staff and our generous volunteers. Moreover, all of our collaborators are exceptional artists from both the local and national community.
Our shows and audience reflect the unique cultural diversity of Montreal. Each season, more than 60 000 young people, families and community members see a Geordie show.
It takes a village to create and present the relevant works that Geordie develops on a yearly basis. Presenting powerful theatre to audiences young and young at heart from communities near and far relies on your dedicated support. As a member of the Geordie Family, you are a pillar of our company. Geordie is proud to offer you a variety of benefits that enrich your connection with us and our mission; building upon a partnership that will last long after the curtain goes down.
Whether you can afford $5/month or $100/month, your support means the world to us!
Scheduled giving not only helps us forecast our funding, budget our finances, and plan future projects — it also helps your budget as well! Even $10 per month can go a long way in supporting our programming. Monthly giving allows you to make a bigger charitable impact.
Building partnerships within the community and investing in our youth and our culture is integral for organizational growth. Your investment in Geordie Theatre ensures that we can continue our mission and build upon the legacy of presenting Theatre for Young Audiences to all ages and for all people.
The GTS Bursary Fund offers full and partial scholarships to benefit youth from families in lower economic backgrounds, allowing access to engage in the performing arts with passionate and caring professional educators and artists.
Since 2017, over 50 young people have benefitted from this program that encourages potential through a dynamic exploration of theatre.
Applications are accepted throughout the year with decisions being made 2 weeks prior to the start of each session.
Geordie is proud to offer you and your company a variety of benefits that promise to enrich your commitment to the community and to our mission; building upon a partnership that will last long after the curtain goes down.

It’s not charity – it’s community.
Geordie Theatre is located on the unceded Indigenous lands of the Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) nation of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. Tiotià:ke (known as Montréal) has existed as a meeting place of many First Nation peoples, including but not limited to the Abenaki, Anishinaabeg (Algonquin), and the Huron-Wendat. We extend our deepest respect to the elders of these communities and to all Indigenous peoples who carry the history of this island’s land and waters – caring for it and calling it home. We are honoured and privileged to share stories on this land.
We wish to also acknowledge that we are grateful to those seeking sustainable solutions to our global climate crisis, so that we may continue to inspire and challenge our audiences near and far.
